Worli Hit and Run Case: A high speed BMW car hit a young man in Mumbai, he died 7 days after the accident; driver arrested
A 28-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding luxury car in Mumbai. Worli police said the victim, Vinod Lad, died seven days after the accident. Police have registered a case against the driver Kiran Indulkar and arrested him. Lad was hit by the car on Abdul Gaffar Khan Road on July 20.
PTI, Mumbai. Mumbai Hit and Run: A 28-year-old man, who was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding BMW car in Mumbai's Worli area, died in hospital, a police official said on Monday.
The official said that the incident took place on July 20 on Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road in Worli Seaface. The deceased Vinod Lad was returning to his home when the accident happened. Vinod was working as a supervisor in a Thane-based transport firm and lived with his cousin.
Died 7 days after the accident
People present at the spot rushed Lad to a hospital and also called the police. However, he died at Nair Hospital in Mumbai Central on Saturday.
The officer said, 'We have registered a case against the accused driver Kiran Indulkar, who was taking his employer to a five-star hotel in Worli at the time of the accident. Earlier he was charged with causing grievous hurt by negligent driving, but now we have also added the section related to causing death by negligent driving.'
